A- A A+

Homophones são sempre confusing. Mas você sabia que os native speakers de English também confundem homophones na hora de write?

WHERE, WERE and WE’RE:

WHERE – Place, location.
(Pronunciation: UÉR)

Eg:  – Where is your house?
              – My house is near the supermarket.

WE’RE – Contraction de ‘we are’.

(Pronunciation: UÉR)

Eg:  We are the champions! = We’re the champions!

WERE – Past de ‘are’.

(Pronunciation: UÃR)

Eg:  We are happy today (present).

We were happy antes do accident (past).
