A- A A+

The world’s fastest runner is so fast that it would leave most automobiles in the dust. It can go from 0 to 96 km per hour in only three seconds. It’s almost like flying!

Female cheetahs typically have  three cubs (or ‘babies’). Young cubs spend their first year learning from their mother and practicing hunting techniques. Male cheetahs live alone or in small groups.

Most wild cheetahs live in Eastern and Southwestern Africa. Perhaps only 7,000 to 10,000 of these big cats remain; the wide-open grasslands – their natural habitat – is disappearing.
