      Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. It’s a day to be with family and friends. But Thanksgiving in New York is special because of Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade.

     Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade started in 1924. In the parade there are bands, dancers, clowns and the famous giant balloons. Every year, 3.5 million people go to the streets of Manhattan to see the parade.
