Some words em English podem te enganar. Pay attention, they’re false friends!
APPLICATION is not “aplicação”, is request, register, or use.
Example: The bank aceitou Ana’s application para um empréstimo de US$ 2,500.
(Important: Para aplicar money, por exemplo, você deve use ‘to invest’).
COMPREHENSIVE is not “compreensivo”, it’s something very complete, that includes all items.
Example: Paul’s school has a comprehensive curriculum.
(Important: Alguém compreensivo, é alguém understanding, tolerant ou sympathetic).
INTEND is not “entender”, is to have a plan , an intention.
Example: We intend to live in London for a year.
(Important: Don’t confuse com “to understand“).
