Today we are going to visit Kossar’s Bagels and Bialys, a traditional bakery in Manhattan.
They use the old, original recipe to produce the typical New York Bagels and Bialys.
The most typical Bagel is called ‘The Classic’.
It is made with smoked salmon, cream cheese, tomatoes, capers and dill.
Bagels and Bialys from Kossar’s are different. They are made with New York tap water. And the tap water in New York is special.
Making Bagels and Bialys is not easy. The process involves time and a lot of labor (= a lot of work).
Kossar’s Bagles (and Bialys) are very crunchy!
